Dear Glendale School Community:
Please be aware that yesterday The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court overturned the Department of Health mask order that was put in place on September 7th, 2021. Following this course of action Governor Wolf filed, a Notice of Appeal of the court decision regarding the mask order. Today, we received confirmation that this appeal triggered an automatic “Stay” of the commonwealth Courts ruling, which keeps the Mask order in effect until addressed by the Supreme Court or until the Mask Order is lifted in January.
Given the appeal and Stay, the Mask order supersedes the Glendale School District Health and Safety Plan. Glendale will continue to enforce the Mask order and continue to require masks until further notice.
We realize that this process is frustrating for everyone involved. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to face the challenges of Covid-19 and work together to keep our students safe and allow our staff to provide in person instruction.
We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as available.
